Word was received in the city last evening of the sudden death of Oscar Lowry, a former well known citizen of Crawfordsville. Mr. Lowry was a plasterer about 60 years of age and left this city to reside in Chicago some 3 years ago. Yesterday morning he dropped dead of heart disease. At the time his wife was visiting relatives at Smartsburg, this county. His son Will resides in Chicago and his son Tom in Terre Haute. The remains will arrive here tomorrow afternoon and will be interred at the Odd Fellows cemetery. - kbz

The remains of Oscar Lowry arrived from Chicago yesterday afternoon and were buried at the Odd Fellows’ Cemetery, the services being conducted by Dr. Tucker. – thanks to S for this one
